Pug Hears the Captain's Plan

Text on the meme

Watching me captain say “mermaid take me kids and half me gold will she” then swerve starboard into a shallow reef

What it means

A small pug sits in a car and slowly turns its head with a bewildered, alarmed expression. The caption imagines a captain making a reckless bargain with a mermaid before steering into a shallow reef, while the accordion-led music from “Sailuz interlude” by Bullets & Mullets makes the absurd pirate scenario feel dramatically comedic. It is used as a reaction to hearing an insane plan and realizing the speaker is about to make everything worse.
