Benefits of Diversity Reddit Thread

Text on the meme

[Serious] What are the benefits of diversity? serious replies only I keep hearing liberals talk about how we need "more diversity", but why? I'm not against it, I just can't think of any benefits it offers. EDIT: I was specifically referring to racial diversity here. It gives people a larger view on things. Instead of sticking to your same old thing, you're able to see different sides of people, culture and life. This actually makes sense, thanks.

What it means

A Reddit user seriously asks about the benefits of racial diversity, then receives a thoughtful explanation about gaining broader perspectives through different people and cultures. The joke is that the originally skeptical poster immediately admits the answer makes sense, creating an unexpectedly sincere and wholesome punchline in a Reddit discussion.
