Russia Before the Islamic Revolution
russia before the islamic revolution in the 1980s
A group of nearly naked people sit in the snow, playing chess and socializing outdoors. The joke falsely presents this bizarre scene as Russia before the Islamic Revolution in the 1980s, confusing Russia with Iran and exaggerating a supposedly carefree, permissive past as a reaction to historical or political nostalgia.
