Hitting rock bottom and noticing flowers

Text on the meme

You know a mf hit rock bottom when they start going for walks and appreciating the little things in life

What it means

Ryan Gosling’s character from Blade Runner 2049 walks through bleak, foggy settings, pauses to examine tiny yellow flowers, and reaches out dramatically as if discovering meaning in life. The joke is that someone has become so emotionally broken that ordinary walks and appreciating nature are treated as proof they have hit rock bottom. Beach House’s melancholic dream-pop song “Silver Soul” makes the reaction feel cinematic, wistful, and absurdly profound.
