Waiting to Make Young People Sad
I can't wait to be old. I'm gonna go to diners alone to make young people sad. I might even pull a picture of my (still alive) wife to really get those tears rolling.
A young man stares seriously into the camera beneath text about looking forward to growing old and visiting diners alone with a photo of his still-alive wife to make young people cry. The joke humorously exaggerates the stereotypical image of a lonely elderly diner patron and turns it into an intentionally sinister plan. It is used as an absurd reaction to express dark humor about aging, loneliness, or making others uncomfortable.
