The Cat Panini Press
UVC-20
A shelter worker demonstrates a blue mesh EasyNabber trap, first using it to corral a free-roaming cat and then transferring the cat into a kennel with food and blankets. The serious instructional narration makes the device sound like a “panini press,” creating an absurd joke about gently trapping cats. The audio is mainly calm spoken explanation, with a matter-of-fact tone that heightens the contrast with the ridiculous comparison. This incredible contraption is called an EasyNabber, but we just call it a panini press here in shelter. Do you want to help me demonstrate how to use it on a free roaming cat? You'll notice that even though we try to catch them five or six times, he never becomes afraid. It just goes to show how gentle the device can be. Now if I were in a kennel environment, I would use the EasyNabber to block off any exit before I go ahead and trap her in there. Now this is an adoptable kennel which is much taller than our feral cat kennels, so our feral cats won't just be able to jump right over.
