Do Anime Girls Dream of 3D Guys?
DO ANIME GIRLS DREAM OF 3D GUYS? HUGO AWARD-WINNER PHILIP K. DICK ALIVE YET NOT LIVING, THEY SOUGHT TO PASS AS HUMANS AND SEE THEMSELVES DYING APART.
A parody book cover shows a surreal cyborg-like face with anime-style girls emerging from its head. The title jokes about anime girls supposedly dreaming of real three-dimensional men, parodying Philip K. Dick’s science-fiction novel and its famous question about androids dreaming of electric sheep. It is shared as an absurd reaction to anime fandom and the contrast between fictional characters and real people.
