Software Engineer Motivation
Software Engineer Motivation to all the engineers out there OK and keep on coding you’re going to have a beautiful change lives but at the end of the day will be legacy
A young man wearing headphones speaks directly to the camera under a red patio umbrella, delivering mock-inspirational motivation to software engineers. The joke is sarcastic: despite long hours and feeling dispensable, engineers are told to find meaning in creating small software features and leaving a “legacy.”
To all the engineers out there, it's okay to make 250k and not be okay. So just stand tall at your standing desk and keep on coding. Because at the end of your 11 hour work week, you're going to have a beautiful drop down menu and it is going to change lives because without you, people wouldn't have options. So you may be dispensable, your skills may be dispensable, but at the end of the day you're leaving a legacy. your code will be legacy.
