Save Your Best Friend or Date Applejack

Text on the meme

Save your best friend from dying or have a date with Applejack?

What it means

Applejack from My Little Pony sits at a restaurant with a salad and Busch Light while John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, drinks wine beside her and gradually reacts with dramatic emotional anguish. The joke presents an absurd choice between rescuing a dying best friend and going on a date with Applejack, while the melancholic music “Glimpse of Us” by Joji intensifies the melodramatic reaction. The clip works as a reaction to an impossible or morally uncomfortable choice.
