Mario and Sonic Arcade Failure
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
An arcade cabinet themed around Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games sits in a dim arcade, with Mario and Sonic pictured above a blank blue screen displaying a tiny sad face. The joke is the contrast between the energetic game branding and the apparently broken or miserable machine, making it useful as a reaction to failure, disappointment, or an anticlimax.
