Crying at the Copium Monitor

COPIUM

A crying anime-style girl stares at a computer monitor while a crude tube connects her mouth to a green container labeled “COPIUM.” The joke depicts someone desperately consuming comforting delusion or denial to cope with a painful situation. The clip fades in and out while Rosa Walton & Hallie Coggins’ melancholic electronic synthpop song “I Really Want to Stay At Your House” plays, making the absurd image feel dramatically tragic and intensifying the ironic reaction.
