Just Spit It Out Already

If you have something to say, then just spit it out already.

Rei Ayanami sits expressionlessly in the foreground while Asuka Langley Soryu stands behind her, then bursts into exaggerated laughter and bends forward while Rei remains completely deadpan. The joke is the contrast between Asuka’s intense, loud reaction and Rei’s unbothered silence, made even funnier by the sudden upbeat opening theme “Good Morning U.S.A.” by American Dad Cast, a bright comedy-pop-rock song. It works as a reaction to awkward silence, someone refusing to say what they mean, or an unexpectedly cheerful response to a tense situation.

If you have something to say, then just spit it out already. Good morning USA! I got a feeling that it's gonna be a wonderful day.
