Coma Metal Gear Solid V Reference
When you go into a coma but then realize that’s a METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN reference
A man lies peacefully unconscious in a hospital bed while the caption frames his coma as a reference to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, where Venom Snake awakens after a nine-year coma. The joke is a gaming-reference reaction to being asleep or unconscious for an absurdly long time, set to Midge Ure’s dramatic rock rendition of “The Man Who Sold the World,” which heightens the mock-serious mood.
