Congratulations, You Realized Life Hurts

CONGRATULATIONS, RETARD YOU FINALLY REALIZED THAT LIFE IS WORTH LIVING, EVEN IF IT'S PAINFUL MAYBE SOME OF THE BILLIONS OF PEOPLE YOU GENOCIDED TO COME TO THIS CONCLUSION THOUGHT SO TOO, BUT IGHT

A 14.6-second anime video cycles through smiling Evangelion characters above a fiery apocalyptic scene. The caption sarcastically congratulates someone for discovering that life is worth living, then immediately undercuts the optimism by reminding them that countless people were allegedly genocided to reach that conclusion. Dramatic music makes the fake inspirational message feel grand and ominous, strengthening the absurdly bleak punchline. It is used as a dark reaction to naive optimism, existential realizations, or cheerful statements that ignore suffering.
