Stop Making Art

STOP MAKING ART • ABSTRACTION HAS NO PRACTICAL PURPOSE • You can be inspired by divine beauty any time by GOING OUTSIDE • "Oh this REPRESENTATION is so ILLUSTRATIVE of a SHARED HUMAN EXPERIENCE" - Statements dreamed up by evil wizards LOOK at what Artists have been demanding your Respect for all this time, with all the Museums and Galleries we built for them They have played us for absolute fools

The meme sarcastically argues that modern and abstract art is pointless, showing famous works by Rothko, Pollock, Warhol, and Dalí beneath a rant about artists demanding respect and museums. The punchline is the exaggerated claim that artists have manipulated everyone into treating unconventional paintings as profound masterpieces, while nature is presented as a better source of beauty. It is used as an anti-art or deliberately provocative reaction to discussions about modern art.
