Another Normal Day in 2022
another normal day in 2022
A person wearing a hamburger-print shirt smiles from a window while the video cuts to a nuclear explosion, ominous skies, a blue-painted figure near a car, and eerie robed figures. The cheerful montage treats apocalyptic and bizarre events as completely ordinary, making the absurdity of 2022 the punchline. B.J. Thomas’s upbeat song “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head” plays over the chaos, intensifying the ironic contrast and making it work as a reaction to an unusually disastrous or surreal day.
