Text on the meme

But Asuka i'm just a sinner God could never love me Nonsense Joe, God created the heavens & the earth his love forgiveness & mercy for us are beyond what we can understand even with all our flaws if we admit our sins & seek forgiveness our God will never abandon us he will always be our loving father in heaven *Joe Rogan crying tears of joy from hearing the news about our Lord God*

What it means

Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion appears above a religious message reassuring her that God forgives sinners, while Joe Rogan cries tears of joy below. The joke parodies an overly earnest Christian response to Asuka’s self-loathing and treats Joe Rogan’s emotional reaction as absurdly dramatic. It is used as a reaction to exaggerated reassurance, religious proselytizing, or unexpectedly wholesome news.
