Never Meet Your Heroes
Never meet your heroes. POLO RALPH LAUREN
A mounted police officer on a brown horse faces a person wearing a black Ralph Lauren Polo jacket during a street protest. The joke is that the person appears to meet their “hero,” the Polo horse logo, in an intimidating and disappointing real-life encounter. It is shared as a reaction to meeting an idol or expectation and finding the experience awkward or frightening.
