Good News, Bad News in Puerto Rico
The Economist Daily Mail Finally, Some Good News For Puerto Rico... Today Openly gay star MURDERED in Puerto Rico 9h ago
A split-screen image contrasts The Economist showing a beautiful Puerto Rican beach with a Daily Mail headline about an openly gay star murdered in Puerto Rico. The joke comes from treating the tragic murder as “good news” for Puerto Rico, creating a deliberately dark and tasteless contrast between optimistic tourism coverage and sensationalist crime news.
