Shuzo Matsuoka Lives in the Now
Are you lost and confused? You can't think about the past. "Will it be okay?" Stake your entire life in here and now. If you stake your life now...
Shuzo Matsuoka, wearing a red jacket, delivers an intense motivational speech while walking through a scenic coastal landscape, urging viewers to stop dwelling on the past or worrying about the future and fully commit to the present. The earnest self-help message becomes a reaction meme because of his exaggerated intensity and the abrupt unresolved ending, paired with Joy3oy’s song “A Star Stuck on My Tail,” whose music adds a dreamy, bittersweet atmosphere. It is used humorously when someone needs encouragement to focus on the present or dramatically overcommit to a situation.
