Nickname Means Something Else
Finally arrived in Lviv today and joined the Ukrainian Territorial Defense. They've even given me a nickname, "Pidor", meaning Peter.
A young person wearing a tactical vest and head covering poses in a forest. The caption claims that the nickname “Pidor” is an innocent shortening meaning Peter, but the joke relies on the Russian homophobic slur “пидор” and the deliberately implausible explanation. It is used as an absurd, edgy reaction to someone making a suspicious or offensive excuse.
