vajrayana zen he cultivated his inner fire through tummo, now he can control his body temperature and withstand extreme cold peel potato

What it means

A split-panel meme contrasts Vajrayana Buddhism, depicting monks and a meditation deity with an elaborate explanation of tummo inner fire, against Zen, simply showing a potato and a peeler labeled “peel potato.” The joke mocks the contrast between mystical, highly advanced spiritual practices and Zen’s stereotypically plain, practical simplicity.
