WinDirStat Glossy UI

Text on the meme

windirstat is an excellent example of systems programmers “doing UI” and deciding to add this glossy light reflection effect to every box because they think it looks cool

What it means

A screenshot of a WinDirStat disk-usage visualization filled with colorful rectangular blocks, many featuring bright glossy light reflections. The joke mocks programmers who add the same flashy visual effect everywhere when designing user interfaces because they think it looks cool. It is sent as a reaction to overdesigned or unnecessarily glossy software interfaces.
