Windows 98 Developers Disable Clicking

Text on the meme

Windows 98 Developers

What it means

A wide-eyed white-and-brown cat stares intensely beneath a Windows 98 Mouse Properties dialog labeled “Windows 98 Developers.” The checkbox for disabling mouse clicking is repeatedly toggled, while the cat becomes increasingly frantic and ends in a blurry open-mouthed reaction. Set to Black Eyed Peas’ energetic dance-pop/electro-house song “Rock That Body,” the escalating beat makes the developers’ absurd struggle feel dramatically over-the-top, making it a reaction to outdated software, frustrating bugs, or chaotic technical decisions.
