Argentina Launches a Memecoin
Yeah we already know 1 Argentine Peso equals 0.00095 United States Dollar Argentina has reportedly launched a memecoin.
A screenshot shows the exchange rate for one Argentine peso alongside a social media post claiming that Argentina has launched a memecoin. The joke is that the peso is already worth almost nothing, so calling it a “memecoin” feels unsurprising and reinforces the absurdity of the situation. It is used as a sarcastic reaction to Argentina’s currency problems or ironic cryptocurrency news.
