What it means

A GNOME icon browser is searching for “finger” and displays a large middle-finger icon named “hand-middle-finger,” complete with options to save, copy, or include it in an app. The joke is that GNOME officially includes a usable middle-finger icon, making it humorously possible for an application developer to give the user the finger.
