US State Bans C++ Development
US state told our company to not develop in C++ OPEN I am working for a US cyber security company and the state told our company to change our application's language which already has been developed by C++, because it's an unsafe language. This is a 3-years requirement. This decision made me think about my career. Is C++ considered a bad language now?! Note: Our team says we should pick Rust but it's not confirmed
A Reddit-style screenshot shows a cybersecurity worker saying that a US state ordered the company to stop developing in C++ because it is considered unsafe, forcing a three-year migration. The joke is the exaggerated bureaucratic ban on a programming language and the uncertainty about switching to Rust, making it a reaction to absurd tech regulations or career anxiety.
