OSI Model Layer Handshake

Text on the meme

Physical layer Link layer Link layer Internet layer Internet layer Transport layer Transport layer Application layer Application layer you

What it means

A five-panel cartoon shows colored figures passing a handshake through the networking stack: physical, link, internet, transport, and application layers, ending with “you.” The joke presents the layers of computer networking as people relaying a connection until it finally reaches the user. It is used as a humorous reaction to explain networking abstractions or the long chain between a person and a computer connection.
