Linux Developer-Oriented /dev Folder
There's also a /bin folder for recently-deleted files that get moved to trash. It's good practice to clear the bin folder every once in a while. Did you guy know that Linux is so Developer-Oriented that it has a special folder called /dev/ where you are suppose to develop all your projects? It's true, check it on your Distro! rexim@rexim-b590:~$ file /dev/ /dev/: directory rexim@rexim-b590:~$
A social media post explains that Linux has a /bin folder for deleted files, then humorously claims that /dev/ is a folder for developing projects. The terminal output reveals the joke: /dev/ is simply a directory, while the post deliberately misinterprets the Unix filesystem name.
