Expectation Versus Reality
Expectation Reality
A two-panel cartoon contrasts a peaceful person relaxing in a flower-filled meadow with the same scene transformed into a chaotic, smoke-filled disaster surrounded by strange figures and symbols. The joke is that an idealized expectation can turn into an absurd catastrophe, making it useful as a reaction to disappointing or unexpectedly chaotic situations.
