I don't need to write clean code. This is just the proof of concept. Once I know for sure this solution will work, I will go back and clean this mess up. Well it works better than I anticipated and my boss wants it deployed ASAP. Maybe I'll rewrite it once it's been in prod for a few months.

What it means

A person gradually applies clown makeup while rationalizing increasingly messy code. The punchline is that a temporary proof of concept becomes successful, gets rushed into production, and is never cleaned up. This meme is used by programmers reacting to technical debt and rushed deployments.
