IT Guy Server Power Button
Why are IT guys such dicks? Last week I drove two hours to push the power button on a server that three separate people assured me was already on.
A Twitter exchange shows someone asking why IT workers are so unpleasant, followed by an IT worker describing a two-hour drive to turn on a server that others falsely claimed was already powered on. The joke highlights the absurdity and frustration of technical support situations, where users may confidently report incorrect information.
