Text on the meme
Hi Patricia, Thank you, of course, for the kind words. But in this situation it looks like nothing more than a gesture of hypocrisy. You had plenty of time to find a way out of the situation and to reiterate that our company is truly outside of politics, that this company cares about its employees regardless of their race and nationality. However, events have shown that this is just a hollow statement. We worked so hard for so many years from dawn to dusk, often sacrificing our vacation time, sick days. We gave ourselves completely to the company to glorify SAS both within Russia and beyond, within our region. But you have shown that this means nothing to you. You did not go the way of such companies as Oracle, SAP or Microsoft, which not only provided all their employees financially for a considerable period of time, but also helped with their placement in new jobs. Thank you for the lesson. You showed us that SAS as the Best place to work is just a joke. Period. In the end I would like to thank my colleagues, both in SAS Russia and around the world, who always helped us to achieve results, shared ideas, gave excellent advice, were true professionals, and most importantly remained people until the last moment, despite what was going on in the world. I am proud that I was on the same team with you! For the last time, sincerely yours,
What it means

A long formal farewell letter addressed to Patricia criticizes SAS for abandoning its employees and exposing the hypocrisy of calling itself a politically neutral, caring workplace. The writer contrasts SAS with Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft, then sarcastically concludes that SAS being the “Best place to work” is just a joke. It is shared as a reaction to corporate betrayal, layoffs, or an especially bitter resignation.
