Actual Penguins Aren't Spherical

Text on the meme

Mathematicians: Haha dumb physicist assumes spherical penguins Meanwhile actual penguins

What it means

The meme contrasts mathematicians joking about a physicist assuming spherical penguins with a close-up of a comically round penguin. The punchline mocks unrealistic simplifying assumptions in physics and is used when real-world subjects are much messier or funnier than their theoretical models.
