Artist Cheats on C++ Homework
My spouse (an artist, not in tech), working her way through a C++ class (part of Digital Arts curriculum). I: Let me know if you need help She: Will do <2 hrs later> I: How’s it going? She: Fine. I’m cheating I: ??? She: I google for stuff I don’t know Do I tell her?
A person offers to help their artist spouse with a C++ class, but two hours later discovers that she is “cheating” by Googling things she does not know. The joke plays on the word cheating, treating ordinary online research as if it were academic dishonesty or betrayal. It is used as a humorous reaction to someone taking a shortcut or relying on Google for answers.
