Four Scenarios, One Graphing Error

OUR NEW MODELS OUTLINE A FEW POSSIBLE SCENARIOS. BAD STUFF → #1 IS THE BEST CASE SCENARIO. ① SCENARIO 2 IS NOT SO GREAT. ② SCENARIO 3 WOULD BE PRETTY BAD. ③ THEN THERE’S SCENARIO 4. WE THINK IT’S A GRAPHING ERROR. IF NOT, WE DEFINITELY WANT TO AVOID IT. ④ TIME →

A four-panel stick-figure comic shows people presenting increasingly alarming graph scenarios, from the best case to a disastrous curve. In the final panel, they suggest it may be a graphing error, but admit they definitely want to avoid the result if it is real. The joke is about cautiously discussing a worsening situation while hoping the frightening data is merely a technical mistake.
