User-Guided Extension Goes Wrong

Proposed Method (cont’d) • User-Guided Extension: • Given an input, there exists multiple solutions to fill-in the missing regions. • We can (optionally) take user sketch as guidance to obtain more user-desired results. Original Image Input Our Result

A presentation slide shows a red-rock canyon image in three stages: the original cave, an input with a crude white sketch over the cave, and the resulting image with the sketch turned into a dark shape. The joke is that supposedly user-desired guidance produces a bizarre and questionable result, making the research demonstration look unintentionally funny.
