A conference speaker stands beside a projected slide showing a tweet about dark patterns. The tweet exposes how a shopping site combines a person’s name, location, and dress from a JavaScript list to create fake social-proof notifications. The joke is about websites deceptively manufacturing personalized-looking activity to manipulate users. EN: A conference speaker stands beside a projected slide showing a tweet about dark patterns.
