So I'm working on the browser and there was an admin tool for the browser. As a part of new development on the browser admin tool, I wrote some code to send a broadcast datagram to the service to retrieve some information. No big deal, right? The parser for the datagrams ignores messages it doesn't recognize so it doesn't really matter, right? Yeah, right. So I run the admin tool and my machine crashes. Now this isn't normally a huge deal - Windows NT at this point wasn't very stable, so crashes happened. So I rebooted my machine and moved on. You know the old joke about the definition of insanity? When you try the same thing multiple times expecting different results? Well, I must have been a bit insane (or desperate) that day.
