Bill Gates on Sketching Code

“I think that you’d find that the programmers who sit down and code at the beginning are only using that as a scratch pad. It’s what’s going on in their head that’s most important.” - Bill Gates

A blue-green tinted portrait of Bill Gates is paired with a quote claiming that programmers use early coding as a scratch pad, while the real work happens in their heads. The joke is aimed at programmers who spend time thinking, planning, and sketching with code before producing anything, making it a reaction to overthinking or unconventional workflows.
