How it feels to be an artist during the 2020s

What it means

A Team Fortress 2 action montage shows the mercenaries moving through a stormy, blue-lit battlefield and preparing heavy weapons. The caption compares being an artist in the 2020s to surviving an increasingly intense war zone, making the characters’ grim determination absurdly relatable. The calm, atmospheric orchestral track “The Calm” by Valve Studio Orchestra contrasts with the threatening thunderstorm ambience and escalating combat imagery, strengthening the deadpan joke.
