Nothing Happened on This Spot
1852 ON THIS SPOT NOTHING HAPPENED
A weathered plaque marks a supposedly historic location, but its message says that nothing happened there. A crying face inset and red arrow emphasize the absurd disappointment, making it useful as a reaction to an anticlimax or an event that turned out to be completely uneventful.
