Superstrike X3 Battery Life Complaint

I feel like the Superstrike X3 has the worst battery life I've experienced out of all my mice, including several Superlight 2s and even the X2. The X3 barely lasts 4 days for me, with a maximum of around 8 hours of use per day (and that's max max, I tend to watch a lot of content) at 2K polling. I have a theory that it doesn't properly go into sleep mode after being untouched for a few minutes, but I don't remember ever having to configure this myself on my previous mice. Am I missing a setting on this new model? Otherwise, I don't really understand why it would suddenly start blinking due to low battery late at night, several hours after my PC has been turned off.
