The Captain Goes Down With His Ship

the cantain goes down with his ship 🫡

A cat sits on a cat tree by the window as the structure slowly collapses and disappears beneath it. The caption jokingly calls the cat a captain going down with his ship, making the cat’s stubbornly calm posture the punchline; the clip works as an absurd reaction to someone staying loyal during a total disaster. Aphex Twin’s minimalist ambient track “QKThr” adds a strangely solemn, melancholic mood to the collapse.
