Gen V Completely Forgotten

if the main character of The Boys is defeated by a random character from a spinoff I haven't watched I would retroactively give the entire TV show a 0/10 and feel good about it so they made the entire Gen V spinoff of The Boys to build up Marie Moreau as an equal of sorts to Homelander... one person strong enough to face him head on. now with 3 episodes left, everything from that show has barely even been mentioned. and i dont wanna hear about it

A screenshot of a social media post jokes about a character from Gen V defeating Homelander in The Boys. The reply complains that Gen V spent its story building up Marie Moreau as a potential equal to Homelander, only for that setup to barely matter, making the commenter regret watching it. The meme is used to express frustration when a supposedly important spin-off or setup is ignored.
