Heritage Coin Clipped Again
Imagine seeking to commemorate your own heritage, and you can’t even find an example of a coin that wasn’t clipped Israeli coin 1984 Judean coin 40 BCE
A comparison shows an Israeli coin from 1984 beside an ancient Judean coin from 40 BCE, with both coins visibly cut or clipped around the edges. The joke is that someone looking for an authentic symbol of Jewish heritage finds that even historical coins were clipped, creating a humorous continuity between ancient and modern coin mutilation.
