Nobody: LOTR Fans: Did You Know

nobody: lotr fans: “did you know-”

A video begins with a dramatic Lord of the Rings battle scene, then cuts to a smiling man in a suit repeatedly gesturing as if he is about to reveal an obscure fact. The joke is that LOTR fans are stereotypically eager to share trivia whenever the franchise is mentioned, while the grand fantasy footage and the increasingly enthusiastic presenter make the reaction absurd. Randy Newman’s orchestral Monsters, Inc. music gives the montage a whimsical, mock-epic mood and heightens the comedic overreaction.
