Humanity Meets Hostile Aliens

Be Humanity of 21st century - not perfect but things are alright They're hostile and far more technologically advanced than you They're completely genocidal, they destroy planets not taking anything from them, refuse all calls to communication and sweep across your civilization why do they hate you? Remnants of humanity survive barely on ships, the entirety of humanity has suffered trauma and humiliation for no greater reason. Maybe you'll be able to rebuild in the future. They are even stronger than before. You can't hold out, they break your defenses one after one as they humiliate you and tear your new home to shreds. Only a few human survivors exist, and they are all on the ships of the aliens. Why would they take prisoners? What horrific things do they have in store for you now? Mankind is forever erased from the galaxy, callously murdered and humiliated with nothing it did ever mattering in the end.

The video begins with a cheerful Mr. Incredible-style face while describing humanity in the 21st century, then progressively darker and more distorted faces appear as the narration imagines technologically superior aliens exterminating humanity. The melodramatic captions describe genocide, enslavement, torture, and the total erasure of mankind, while the upbeat orchestral music from Michael Giacchino’s “Life’s Incredible Again” creates the joke through an absurdly cheerful contrast with the apocalyptic scenario; the ominous vocal sounds add surreal tension. It works as a reaction to catastrophically overdramatic sci-fi pessimism or escalating bad news.
