Sam Lake and Kojima Crying

Text on the meme

Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars? I could really use a wish right now. wish right now. wish right now.

What it means

Sam Lake and Hideo Kojima appear in a split-panel night-sky scene, both crying, with a broken heart between them. The captions reference the song lyric about wishing on shooting stars, turning it into an exaggerated reaction to sadness and disappointment. It is sent as a reaction when someone desperately wants something to change or feels emotionally devastated.
