When Christmas Music Takes Over the Car

Text on the meme

Mariah Carey

What it means

A Simpsons-style animated family watches Mariah Carey on a Christmas-decorated screen while a nervous boy and a girl react. The clip then cuts to a red-haired woman driving, followed by Ned Flanders at the wheel, as “All I Want for Christmas Is You” plays. The joke is the sudden, overwhelming arrival of Christmas music season and the exaggerated reactions it causes; it works as a reaction to hearing the song everywhere during the holidays.
